Let Them Be Little/ I Heart Faces Photo Challenge

This little guy never stops dancing! I recently took a few photos of him and I thought this was the perfect shot for this week's contest. You ask him to show you his moves and he'll teach you the wave, moonwalk,....and yes even the shuffle.

Pumpkin Season

Oh it's that time of year again! The leaves start to change the vivid colors of orange, yellows, and reds, the coats and boots are ready to be worn, and the pumpkins are ready to be picked. Speaking of pumpkins, this past week I have had pumpkin in just about every way you can imagine. I went pumpkin picking with the family and oh the light was just gorgeous! After that I had my slice of pumpkin pie and made some yummy pumpkin spice cupcakes. I went out to eat with friends and experienced for the very first time..... pumpkin ravioli. I know, I know.... try to resist the urge as you read this. And of course the day was not complete without a lovely warm cup of pumpkin spice latte. Have you had your pumpkin fixin' yet?

All things à la femme

I have been experimenting with shooting different subjects lately, and I have come to really enjoy all of the delicate things I found that just so happened to be right here in my own home. We sometimes tend to think that in order to capture a beautiful image, we must go somewhere beautiful. But as it turns out there is beauty all around us. Just take a look at the flowers on your dining room table, the colors, their beautiful soft texture. Or even your kitchen windows, how the sun illuminates the room and the shadows that are cast in different angles. Maybe even that dusty old chair that creaks every time someone sits on it. Beauty comes in all different ways, shapes, and sizes..... and sometimes just changing your perspective can reveal a true splendor. I simply placed my objects in natural lighting, changed their positions a few times annnd voilà! Who knew all you needed was the sun to bring out the beauty in something already beautiful?! By now you probably may be wondering why I titled this post "All things à la Femme". Well, the photos that I shot are among many of my favorite things and a well let's face it... are downright girly. This post is dedicated to all of the ladies out there who perhaps will not admit it but regardless love their high-heeled shoes, pretty perfume bottles, and of course let's not forget about the oh so famous little blue box...Tiffany's! ;) Enjoy and happy it's almost Friday day!!!

This perfume smells as pretty as it looks =)
A girl can never have too many shoes ;)
I love my cable car necklace I got when I visited San Francisco this summer.

One of my favorite bracelets----a gift from my Nonni when I turned 16.

Portraits: Oh Brother!

Camera-shy? No such thing for this little one. The weather was just perfect to shoot some photos outside...and what does a boy do when asked to star in a photo shoot? He shows off his awesome dance moves of course! This little guy danced and strutted his stuff all through the session, you name a move and he'd know it. Moonwalk, wave, glide, and yes....... even the shuffle. Of course he obviously gets his unbelievable talent from his older sister ;). After seeing all of his super cool moves, he would leave you asking "Hey can you teach me how to Dougie?".....Enjoy!

Portraits: Stephanie

"Okay go......NOW!!!" We trudged our way up the hill as it rained on us, no wait let me rephrase that...as the wrath of Poseidon was unleashed upon us. It was the last day of junior year and my best friend Stephanie and I decided it was a lovely day to walk home. Clear skies, happy that we were finally done with school and (OH.EM.GEE....we're finally seniors!), the summer awaited us. Just one block away from home and as if it had not rained in over a century, it began to pour......hard. We were absolutely drenched, but laughed and yelled all the way home. That was definitely a day I'll never forget. Stephanie and I have been best friends ever since Middle School and boy have we had our share of stories. From sneaking over to the kids playground during gym class, to fighting over Zac Efron (which by the way he's still mine =P), to endless laughs over silly crushes...the list goes on and on. I'll never forget the last day of senior year, we both sat outside on the patio swing and signed each other's yearbook----and ended up in tears. We couldn't believe it was finally done. I mean what was going to happen now? Would college change everything? Little did we know that nothing would change at all. We took a trip down to Sandy Hook the other day and I got to shoot some lovely photos of her. Steph you truly are a beautiful person inside and out, and I know you will do great things in your life...never forget that. We made it through high school and even college together....which meannns you are officially stuck with me =D. Even though we are no longer in school I know one thing is for sure, we'll always be those two crazy girls running up the hill laughing in the rain....with not a care in the world. We'll always be Fric and Frac...I love ya Bestie!

Splashing around never gets too old for anyone!

One word: Fierce.
